Is there some easy to follow list of what CPUs are and aren't supported? I've looked for a list with simply ptt and amd ftpm compatible processors but can't find anything definitive.

You say it is running a kingston ssd but in the photos I see green PCB on that drive so it looks like a HDD instead of an ssd is the os on the kingston ssd?

That sounds like a good option, would this be through SFP+ or something else? I can't find an easy how to on using disk shelf's which would be an interesting option.  I want to find something that is easy to mod as well because my server sits right next to my desk so fan noise is a big concern, I'm trying to avoid server PSU's.

All that being said I did find some interesting information concerning using only one PCIe slot to run all of the disks.
My LSI card can run this through one sas cable and with the free port on the lsi card and the expander I could populate all of the drive bays. There could be a performance hit during parity checks but like @Dutch_Master said, that's not a right now issue because it will be a long time before I populate all the bays, by then there may be an option for hardware upgrade that makes sense for my uses. Alternatively if I still have a free PCIe slot at that point I can run the expander with 2 sas cables to the LSI card and use a different LSI card for the other two backplanes eliminating any bottleneck.

It looks like startech has some as well but when you can do the whole sfp thing for $100 for both computers it really doesn't seem to make sense to keep the colors with the cost difference. Maybe Plastidip on just the top of the card would be worth a shot.

My EVGA G2 750w is silent, I almost never hear it (maybe once every couple weeks at most, for a couple minutes) The EVGA G2 and GS I know have Eco modes, that when selected, give the fans a ramp profile so they don't start to spin until 55% load, really recommend the G2 750w or G2 series.

As a guy who has a MacBook Pro Retina I would recommend getting the Air or another laptop of similar specs and size, i.e. Lenovo Y50.  The Air is really good despite what many PC master race individuals say, when it comes to portability and convenience it does great.

In addition the battery live is incredible.

Well let's admit that YouTube has not been truly profitable.  Google paid $1.65 Billion for this company and what they have earned back has never been truly profitable.  Again I really don't like this idea but they are trying what they can because they are a business and if billions of people use your service you have to find a way to profit off that. I just hope that they can think more like Google normally does and come up with a brilliant new way of making a profit without changing what we are used to.

You could use a larger screw but it would depend if it's just cutting it's own thread into the plastic, another method is to use a little super glue and baking soda to act as a filler to build up that loss or stripped material to use the original screw. Just be careful not to fill the entire screw hole.

Every one should call their congressman and voice their opinion about this bill. We have to continue to support net neutrality to keep it going. You can contact the creator of this bill, Marsha Blackburn, at 202-225-2811.
