If you are running on computers that you own, no. You can just do it (ofc, you own your stuff!).
 
If using someone else's PC (say, your school's, your employer's, your dad's....), then you DO need permission from then. Otherwise, they could (if they were really jerks about it) bring you to court, requesting refunds on the electrical bills. There have been reports of it happening before; and the guy that folds without permission ALWAYS loses.
 
Once the requirement IS met, just PM one of the mods *cough Whaler_99 *cough with your ID and a request for the badge, and they'll be happy to deliver it.

i know but that is for my second monitor i don't have all the money of the world ;P.. or a job.. 

I dont know the full answer myself but what I do know is that it has something to do with how fast a protein folds. Beyond that, i dont have anymore as this has more meaning the Scientist in the F@H group than us non-scientist.

Well, I have to buy a lot of things this coming month, so I would say around the first week of December would be the best updates [When I will be able to get the paint]. Though I do do plan to start cutting and sanding around November 4th or so. I will make sure to keep in steady updates with everyone on the progress and on any new things that come to mind.
