So you know how people get used to 2 screens and have a problem with 1?

We'll now I'm used to 3 screens. 

Sure, I can get a third for my setup at home, but I'm afraid it won't stop there. 

Help me LTT.

My life will soon be consumed by screens! 

 

(Seriously I used to have a 5 screen setup for some editors but it never felt like I was missing something when I put three of them on my shelf. Now something clicked and I must have 3)

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Just got three screens. third screen is arriving tomorrow. I have a stand and all

I have a ~60cm desk and have squeezed in 3..

360 degrees surround monitors are coming :P

the sad thing is it's not he resolution, it's the amount of displays. The three I've been using are 1680x1050, and I prefer it to my 2560x1440 dual setup at home almost.

Its the same from going down from a 1440p screen at home to a 1080p screen at work. It sucks.

I'm using the MSX virtual desktop thing if that's what you mean, and I love it. It's like I'm on linux or a mac or something that's made sense for years.

Its the same from going down from a 1440p screen at home to a 1080p screen at work. It sucks.

My 1440p screen ruined imacs for me. Since their interface is much bigger, with the same resolution I have at home they feel cramped.

I used to have a 5 monitor setup comprised of 5 different brands of 1280x1024 displays, upgraded to three matching syncmaster 204b panels which I then sold, and then to one 1080p awaiting an upgrade. I think setups MUST have a monitor in the middle.

Nice :D for me in windows 10 it's awkward because it changes both screens and it's hard to keep multitasking.

if I could afford to make a desk and a sliding wireless keyboard mount for that I would. totally would.

I have trouble at work only having 2 x 1080p monitors now that I have 3 x 1440p monitors at home xD

Nice :D for me in windows 10 it's awkward because it changes both screens and it's hard to keep multitasking. 

Well I bind win+tab to a side button of my mouse, and use that to window switch instead of alt tab or the task bar. The multi-desktop I use for separating things, like I'll keep a work space open at all times, code windows and browsers and whatnot, photoshop and whatnot on another, and just whatever bullshit I'm doing like LTT on the first. Nice to leave something and come back exactly how you left it.
