MSI Trolled Us | 780 Lighting Release Date 8/28

Gnrl Kitty

Apparently MSI thought this was a really cool idea.  Obviously it wasn't.  The MSI Geforce GTX 760 HAWK was released today rather than the expected 780 Lighting.  Link below.

August 28th needs to come quicker lol, not like I can afford the card though, this will still be a good think to look at xD

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

lol nice

Not for them.  A lot of people are already getting other cards because they were waiting until today to buy the MSI 780 Lighting.  Others were highly anticipating its release today to decide if they wanted it or not and I bet a lot of those people are too angry to buy it now when it does release.

It better be good if they're making us wait.

What are people expecting with this card? isn't it only going to be a different cooler?

Nowhere in the video does it say it will be a 780 lightning. Just watch, they'll get us again and 7/28 will be a 770 hawk.

Not for them.  A lot of people are already getting other cards because they were waiting until today to buy the MSI 780 Lighting.  Others were highly anticipating its release today to decide if they wanted it or not and I bet a lot of those people are too angry to buy it now when it does release.

Talk about shooting themselves in the foot. Hopefully they'll learn from this.

Well I will still wait for it. It is obvious that it isn't ready for launch yet. It is like with PC games, I won't buy COD just because BF release date has been delayed.

This card has been overhyped and talked about for FAR too long.I guarantee that once it IS going to finally come out it WILL be a let down. I originally was planning on getting the lightning nd slap a wb on it but this is just bs. Im just gonna stick with the HOF 780 on air which just completely has put all the other non ref 780s to shame. Galaxy had the guts show of the HOF at computex while it was STILL in its prototype stage.MSI srsly needs to get their sh** together and grow a pair.

Ok well all know by now that MSi when it comes to high-end video cards means business. This video card should feature a new heat sink (Twin Frozr V, hopefully) and the Lightning series of cards are an overclockers dream come true. The redesigned PCB, build quality, and the looks makes up Lightning series of cards. I'm a MSi fan boy which is probably why I pretty much will not recommend anything else, but MSi graphics solutions. In the end it makes me happy that they delayed the release because they might have found a flaw in the design and might need to tweek it to perfection.

Yep, better delay product instead of getting unsatisfied consumers finding those flaws, especially important for high-end range of products.

Based on the benchmarks we've been given so far... That's a flat out "No."  In terms of popularity after this stunt?  Probably the Classified.
