My views about CSGO Low - Mid Nova spectrum

 I just posted this to /r/GlobalOffensive but I want feedback here. 

 Mods if you feel this belongs somewhere else move it.

 

 So I was on my smurf (I know, hate me... Only way I could play with my friend (GN1), besides I was only Scout no scoping)... And I realized how broken the Nova  spectrum ranks are. There were CoD guns (Augs/SG's/ P90's) everywhere, so much salt If I licked them I would probably have a stroke, and an insane amount of  smurfs (I know, i'm not helping this). Nova spectrum is the same as silver in my opinion, except somehow more toxic. I had people (nova 1/2) bragging to silvers  (Who were 2 kills below them), about how they were good and they where trash.

 The worst rank was Nova 3. I honestly feel bad for everyone stuck in Nova 3 (I was once), and I can say it is quite possible the worst rank in CS for the following  reasons.

 1. Unranked first gamers. This issue's been fixed by the rank 3 update, but it still exsists. It's annoying to have someone who has little idea how to play on your      team.

 2. Smurfs. Yes, I know a smurf complaining about better smurfs, but it would be hard to gain Elo because Smurfs who are from higher ranks keep wrecking you.

 3. "CoD Kids die off above this rank". I define CoD kids as P90s, augs, and SG's. And Nova 3 seems to be the rank where most of these get stuck in. As I saw few of these in  Nova Master. What I think the reason behind this is Nova master is where people start getting "Good" and learning to counter CoD guns. And only the ones that  are really good with said guns can rank up past it.

 4. Hackers. Ok, I saw Hackers in Nova 3. And they were complete trash too. Even with hacks they couldn't rank up past Nova 3. And don't say they weren't  hacking. Really obvious through wall Shots and Insta dinks everywhere (albeit since Poly VAC wave it's been less). This doesn't really stick with Nova 3's. This is for  everywhere. If you're hacking and your not atleast DMG/ Eagle you're trash.

 This is why I call Nova's 1-3 "Silvers with Fancy Stars". I remember back when I was ranking through Nova's pretty much all "CoD guns" died at Nova 1/2.

 

 TL;DR I feel bad for Nova 3's because Smurfs, CoD kids, and First gamers. Leave opinions below

Nova 1 on main, Nova 3 on smurf.

Sucks tho....always stuck with trolls and shit in Nova 1 area. I like Nova 3 as it's more competitive and less trolls.

100% Agree and I've been stuck in limbo for the past few months (back and forth GN3 and GNM). Of course I lost nearly all of my skill when I was away from my PC for 3 weeks and scattered times before that. Not to mention, a cooldown because my game crashed and Windows updated. I personally think the worst thing is the amount of unranks. I really only get cooldowns for kicking the abundance of them.

There are so many kids in the Nova 1-3 ranks that its hard for me to find a good set of friends to play with.

 

Not only that there are so many people that are trying to tell you how to play the game...  I cant stand back seat players.

DMG on main.. play on friends accs which are gn3, nova master, MG1, etc I've many times encountered a higher ranking smurf (LE, LEM) on the other team that I destroyed.. (points wise, since I carried the team harder than they did..) and there are some pretty toxic players out there.. many times I would get queued with a team that had no idea what they were doing.. compared to the other team which was half decent.

When I was MG2 it was not nearly as bad as it is in GN3/4. MG1 on the other hand was full of trolls...

And yes, gold nova is basically silver, I've always said this. People saying ranks like MG1-2 are above average are pretty stupid IMO.

It's extremely easy to reach high novas - low guardians without being good.

 

Even in LEM/Supreme ranks (where I'm at now), I still encounter people who rush as a CT, aim at the ground,...

In like 1 in 20 of my comp games I had someone shooting at me through a wall that can't be shot through (Stereotipical bad hacker scenario)... Then I've had like 4 games with someone spin botting... I think you got lucky, or I just get unlucky.

Yeah it never gets better. At global and that shit never goes away (it is way better than gnm ofc but still bad). Never queue for D2 because that is the map where all the casuals/boosters play.

This ^^ Iv'e seen the most smurfs/ dumb asses on D2 Then any other map. Only good thing about it is that it's easy Elo if Dust 2 only's get destroyed on any other map.

Its hard to be really good at D2 because there are those people who only play it and know the angles insanely well. Easy ELO is a 5 queue on some random map like Agency or Office(although those maps are kind of awful).

I have played with smurfs, but never with a cheater (or a very obvious cheater).

I hate smurfs, but they kinda help you get a little bit better.

 

I like the game a lot, maybe i'm kinda lucky that I almost never have to deal with russians, trolls or cheaters.

You don't lose all your skill from a video game by not playing it for 3 weeks, I haven't play go in like 4 months and would be fine jumping in with Supremes.

I'm stuck in GN3 now, and what can I say - smurfs and angry Russians all over it. Oh, and very toxic players. I just don't know how to get out of Gold Nova. All my friends is LEM or MG guys, so they can't help me.

I'm GNM after a few weeks playing and people are pretty toxic and half the teams we play have a guy who gets like 30 kills and carries the team.

Cobblestone is life! (Seriously, one of my favorite maps).

I don't know if i'm unlucky or lucky. I got games with people strat roulette trying to throw (Troll), and the stereotypical bad hacker (Spraying through walls at people where they can't shoot through and should have no idea they're there) and Spinbotters...

 

Glad I'm in the US and don't have to deal with Russians tho That sounded racist.

Am Gn3, and I can confirm this. Have been running into a lot more trolls than ever ever since ive reached it.

I get smurfs in every single match to the point where whether I win or lose is wholly dependent on which team has better/more smurfs on it.

I'm MG1, but I have to say, the P90 is good until like MGE level. It's somewhat cheap, and is incredibly easy to rush with.

No hate on me but when i smurf(N2) when i even solo or play with a mate which is also a smurf sometimes not, we always face another smurf on our team or the other. Once i solo queued and i encountered that both of our teams had at least 3 smurfs including me(only have 10-50 hours Accounts). the face both team was deranking.... half the team camping at spawn with music voice chat.. eventually the other team kicked the 1 legit player and one left and surrender.... CSGO should increase the csgo levels up to like 6 or something because getting to level 3 is really easy on deathmatch if you played non stop for ~10 hours.

I was stuck at GNM for quite some time, I got out by always being a premad of atleast three. Doesnt even have to be irl/online mates. Just try to get people who are acually intressted in playing as a team (strats, planned buys etc.). Got my ass up to DMG now, my mates are SMFC/Global, great practice playing with them, and facing others who are better than me.
