It seems every time AMD and another big company start discussing business, every flea-bitten website starts speculating that its a buyout.

 

Even though a Microsoft buyout of AMD would be pretty cool and would give pause to both Nvidia and Intel, its more likely that Microsoft need miniature SOC's to power their retail hololens, and AMD may be the only company with the required tech at this time. Time will tell of course.
