24" vs 23" vs 21.5"

I'm looking at doing a dual monitor set up, and at the start I had my mind set on 2 24" monitors.

Then I got to thinking, and after sitting in front of my 24" monitor and being a little wowed by it's size I've come to the conclusion that I can go down to at least 23", if not 21.5" (22")

 

My question is, has anyone here done the same? Or used 22" to 24" monitors either side by side or in the same time period?

If so, how did you find it? More than large enough still?

 

I've always thought 21.5" would be too small, but it doesn't seem that different...

well i have 2 hp 22bw (21.5") and i think they are fine, i was amazed by the massiveness of our 27" imac

Why would you want to? Do you like squinting?

 

2x 24 (1080 or 1200p) is a very nice sweet spot for usability, productivity, price, and entertainment.

 

I use 2x 24 setup daily. I wouldn't want to go smaller.

I had a 27" monitor for a bit and wasn't a fan. I found it much too large.

I don't think the size is really that drastic. Look at the overlays. I use 19" 1:1 monitors at work, and I currently have a 13.3" laptop. They don't have me "squinting" either.

but personally I'd just get a single ultra wide, all the benefits 0 boarders.

Yeah, 2 24" would be ideal but the rig is only to last me about 6 or 7 months. Then I'll likely get an ultrawide + 27" side monitor.

Depends on how big the next apartment I rent is.

but it's still a very good size and no bezels to get in the way.

I went from 3 22" monitors to a single 28" 4k and I can't beleive I didn't make the change sooner!! so much better all round in my opinion.

Yeah, I totally agree. For what I'm using it for though it's not a huge issue; it'll be two unrelated things most of the time.

Spreadsheets and Youtube, movie and Internet browser, Internet browser and Word.

 

It really depends on how far away you're sitting. 

My desk is about 2 feet deep.

I don't forsee myself getting a larger one for a while (apartments be small).
