If you dont plan to OC then

Xeon E3 1231 V3 is the best option for you

this xeon = i7 4770 but it doesent have that integrated graphics and that is the reason why it is cheaper.

OCd i5 4690k would be better for gaming. But non OCd i5 4690k makes no sense over that Xeon since they cost the same.

xeon is always faster than an i5 in gaming especially when DX12 comes out

i5 or xeon, because the extra cores (threads) on the i7 wont be worth the frankly large disparity between the 960 and the 970...

Go with i5 and GTX 970, difference in the performance of GTX 970 and GTX 960 is big. You don't need an i7 for gaming.

Yeha..the DX12 will it make the difference useing the extra threads and give any performance boost??

Not with older games, probably not with crappy console ports and definitely not when DX12 JUST launched...

It might, in the far future...

The Xeon has the same as the i7. It's the same as a locked 4770. Personally I'd get the Xeon. It will perform better than the i5.

It's always a good day if you woke up breathing.

Since you're not planning on overclocking, then I'd personally pick the Xeon.

if i over clocked? i dont know much about over clocking..so i woud like to be on the safe side.Is overclocking safe?
