My first PC - is it ok?

frawlzfans

Hi guys, just wanted to make sure this would work. This PC is purely for gaming so I know I could use an i5 not an i7 but I found a good deal on that motherboard bundled with an i7 also im happy to spend slightly more just so it goes with my red and black theme.

Will be running a 1080p monitor so I went with the 970 instead of the 980 because I believe as there's no point getting the 980 as im not going over 1080p?

Just buy a Titan X and nothing else.

Make it run CPU fuctions on 8 of the cores and the other 3064 cores for GPU stuffs.

I'm sure the board on it will be fine.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.

Grab a Seasonic PSU and you're solid. Supernova NEX isn't that great.

You also could maybe go for Windows 8.1 but you would never notice the performance difference with hardware like that and you get a free upgrade to 10 later. Your choice however you go about it.

Also, if all you're going to do is game you can save a lot of cash and get a 4690k instead. EDIT: Scratch that you said you got a deal.

Windows 7 still gets a free upgrade to 10 when it releases too, not just 8.1 and some of us out there still like not having to sacrifice convenience for touch-screen simplicity *cough live-tiles cough worst decision microsoft has ever made and its gone in desktop release of windows 10 cough*     I know you can get the start menu back, but we shouldnt have to download a third party mod to get something back that should have never been gone in the first place.
