WHY DOES MY PC KEEP RESTARTING!?

Hey guys, I have just built my first PC and everything seems to work fine accept for one problem:

 

When I power the system on it keeps resetting itself after 4 - 6 seconds, and after another 4 - 6 seconds the power comes on again, it will continue to loop like this.

 

- Power on      < - - - - - -   |

- Power for 6 seconds       | 

- Instant shut down            | 

- 6 seconds pass  - - - - - - | 

 

What is wrong?

What is wrong?

What mobo are you running? It may be due to your RAM. 

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

Check ram, that was my problem when I had constant reboot cycles. Only one stick at a time, each test in a different slot. If one stick won't work in any slot, then it is defective.

 

Edit: Can you give more system information, please?

umm...

 

Check all the cable connectors, make sure the RAM DIMMS are totally inserted, same as any PCI cards you use. Did you make a test fit before installing it in the case and it worked? did you place the CPU in its socket correctly?8

Using a different computer, get Memtest86+ onto a flash drive and boot from it. Test your RAM.

The motherboard is brand new and the ram I had taken from a functioning PC so I know all parts are working correctly, it must have something to do with the way I installed it all. -_-

Well it could always be your MOBO or PSU.

try to go look in the BIOS and check what the problem and also check out the MotherBoard if Defected or PSU and if you touch the PINS While Installing ...

hold the 24 pin connector in while turning it on, it's a common thing for me.

Then your MOBO or PSU Plug is Messed up....

Just because it's new doesn't mean it's guaranteed to work.
