Plasti Dip paint Dell Monitor Stand

Hello Guys,

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Plasti Dip spray painting. I saw Linus's video on one of his custom color scheme paint job video where he used Plasti Dip, he explained that Plasti DIp can be peeled off; aka not permanent?

The monitor stand i plan to paint is the Dell P2314H. Refer to the link below for more info.

I plan to paint the stand a matt black to go along with the black color scheme build I am currently doing. Any suggestions, recommendations and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Warm Regards,

Ichi

Clean it well before you paint it, it'll last longer and be easier to remove.

tape off the surrounding areas that you don't want tape on.

Noted, thanks for the tip.

If I recall correctly, Linus put a base coat of white prior to painting his dominator ram strip a vibrant green for his Green Nvidia build. I plan to do the same. I'll need to restock on some isopropyl rubbing alcohol for cleaning...

the white base coat is unnecessary (whats the point of using plastidip then if the original surface is already ruined?), just clean the surface with a high percent alcohol (like 70% or higher), maybe sand it down (though I wouldn't suggest it in case you need to return it), and apply a couple coats (remember ~6 inches between the material and the can as it will drip or give a really bad texture if you do too close or too far)

Cut the edges where you peel off the protective covering after spraying, or you will peel the plasti dip off along with it.

who cares...
