Hi guys, should I grab an evga classified 780 ti or and asus strix 970?

same price.

 

I kinda want a gpu with a backplate...I can't find the 780 ti classified back plate on sale anywhere

780 Ti. A 970 performs similarly to a 780 non-Ti and if you can get the 780 Ti Classified for the price of a 970 that's a great deal.

Get a 780 ti, it performs 99% as well as a 980, which is significantly better than the 970.

I'd say that if you can find a bundle/bargain deal for a 780 ti I'd go for that (if it's slightly cheaper) although my instinctive opinion is go & get the GTX 970

Yeah. When you OC it you can get very close to a 980's performance too...
