Browser that isn't Firefox or Chromium-based

That Norwegian Guy
Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Maxthon

No Chrome

No Firefox

No IE

No chromium back-end

What is there?

Currently using Opera 12.17 but I want a more up to date alternative for certain things. Uninstalled Sleipnir because while it had features I needed, it's Chromium based.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

The newest version of IE isn't terrible, in some cases I found it faster than chrome.

The only few things I find wrong with IE is that it looks kinda poo and I haven't figured out how to change that, its not quite as friendly as other browsers tend to be, and its not quite yet up-to date with other browsers.

Opera became Chromium based after 12.17. Which is why I am still on 12.17

I don't hate Firefox, it's just a bit feature-bare coming from Opera classic. And if you want more features you have to fill it up with extensions that bloat it up past the point of tolerable sluggishness. I have it for the 1% of the time it may be useful.

As for Chrome, well it's pretty obvious, we're headed for a monopoly, in pretty much the most dangerous sector for a monopoly to exist, so I committed long ago to not becoming part of the problem. It's also even more feature-bare than FF.

No apparently they sprung from the same core webkit, but their source was developed independently in different directions, long before Chromium.
