Geforce 800? Listed on Nvidia webiste

Ok I was looking through Nvidia Geforce website and I came across this page which has Nvidia 800 GPU listed on the page (http://www.geforce.co.uk/geforce-experience/system-requirements).

 

What do you guys think of this?

this is a small update as people are mentioning it could be another listing of OEM or Mobile GPU

as you can see there are NO GEFORCE 800 Cards listed here except 800M Mobile GPUs

That's the 800M series and the Geforce 800 series, not the GTX80. It's the laptop cards... they've been around for a while now.

oh i forgot about that but i haven't seen any oem of desktop 800 chips and it hasn't got an M next to it to state its mobile?

That's the 800M series and the Geforce 800 series, not the GTX80. It's the laptop cards... they've been around for a while now.

It needs to say GTX for it to be a desktop GPU.

It needs to say GTX for it to be a desktop GPU.

The screenshot has both "GTX 800M, 700M and 600M" and "GTX Titan, 700 and 600" sections, as well as the GeForce 800/700/600/etc chips.

 

What it probably is, is "GT" series chips, which lack shadowplay features. The fact that the "select 600M series" is there is a dead giveaway that it's separating chips too; as the 600M series first launched with the GTX 670M and 675M as the flagships, which were rebranded 570M/580M cards etc, and though they're GTX-series, they lack kepler's shadowplay-type features due to the lack of the nvenc encoding block.

 

There's already a maxwell chip out anyway; the 860M 2GB/750Ti chip (same thing really; just mobile/desktop flavour). Going by that, I'd love to see what GTX maxwell brings to the table, but it's not like we've not seen maxwell at work yet.

They may be coming out soon. I don't remember if low-end desktop cards release before the high-end, but for mobile cards they do.

As I posted; it's probably because it's the lower-end chips. The Kepler low-ends lack shield support etc, so I don't see why maxwell would add it for the low-end spectrum

maybe they are going to bring the low end GPU out first like we saw with 750 and 750 Ti but they might do this again?

ive i remember last time i visited nvidias site, wich was in 2011 to choose my gpu, i recall them calling the 8000 series 800, but it could also be 8, i just remember that it lacked some 0s

thats confusing for sure, as the flagship 8800 GPUs were G80...
