I would go for a better gpu, 16Gb of ram and a faster and bigger SSD (MX100) but overall, nice little build you got there.

Spoiler

waiting for that 880ti to come out ^^ the 7970 is a nice gpu for my needs right now. the ssd is also a great thing i've had for a little over a year and it is f'in solid man :) (also it's 520 read / 320 write so it's still pretty good for my needs atleast) not gonna change that for now :) 16 gb ram seems a bit overkill and also i wasn't able to get the dominator gt's 2x8 gb version where i live :(

thanks man. i think it will be pretty sweet once it's done.

Looks good! Subbed :D. How did you make the custom acrylic block?

i got somebody to do it ^^ so i basically just bought it :) but it's made with an CNC machine and is milled out like in the video :) i really want one in table size so i can get some custom case and water cooling going on a full atx scale :) but they aren't cheap and i'm studying :(

thanks i think it will be pretty sweet and i can't wait for it to be done !

keep in mind it will take quiet some time since the caselabs case is going from usa to europe so it will maybe take a whole month before i have the actualy case (!!!) but i will start doing some of the tubing between the block and gpu and mobo block etc. :) so stay tuned !

I thought I recognised that block rofl. Seems milled channels are all the rage right now, glad I decided to get in on the action a teeny bit before people grow too accustomed to it.

i fell for it straight away.. it's so damn sweet looking :) ! i don't think it's that common yet tho.. i was lucky getting one @.@ i really wanna make some myself tho on a modded caselabs s8 test bench :D

link for your build log m8 ?

Here you go, they're actually pretty simple to make once you've got round the basics. The hardest part is by far getting all the measurements right, but even that's much easier once you've got used to how things work.

Finished Projects: Loramentum, VesperModerne, ExsectusAetos

Current Project: Parvum Argentum

sweet build man :) wauw care to share some knowledge if i can get my hands on a cnc machine?

my 7970 is.. was also loud.. like a freakin jet engine or something i couldn't stand the sound when i wasn't wearing my headset... and it's not a great cooler either unless you have 4 fans pointing its way... @.@

update time :)

soo i recieved my new cpu. warranty covered the dead cpu and now i recieved it but i got same fail message.. so now i'm blaming either the motherboard, psu or ram.

i will play around with different psu and ram tonight and otherwise i'm gonna have to go through the RMA on the mobo -_-
also caselabs case seems kinda lost in germany now...

everything seems kinda uphill for this build already ^^ but i'm keeping the mood up :D

thanks a lot! :) that actually means something that you are interested in my project even if it's only the slightest ^^

oh and also.. i got so inspired by Sour Apple that i've bought an apple g4 that i will mod, paint and watercool. tho my g4 is at my dads place which is like 8 hours of ferry and train travelling away from my current location.. so it won't even be at me for the next 2 months but i really want to make a build log of that one too :)

"botw" is "build of the week" and i agree they are really nice. and i like the idea of the g4 mod. i've seen a few on here and they all look really classy. you definitely need to post a build log for that one when you can.

EDIT: It's not the build of the week anymore it's featured build logs.

And thanks a lot that's a big compliment!

yeah the g4's can turn into such sexy beasts ^^ i love the way you open the side panel :) it would make a nice LAN machine.
