Looking to add another fan to my CPU cooler

Lazmarr

I have a Be quiet dark rock pro 2 CPU cooler and I am looking to add another fan to increase it's cooling capacity.

What would you recommend?

On a side note my temps are really high, but the cooler is only warm to the touch?

Idle or load? If you add another fan use the same model.

Temps during load? And add another fan, the same one it came with.

Idle or load? If you add another fan use the same model.

Been trying to overclock and things but have been having trouble, idle both overclock and stock is usually around 35°C - 43°C, 100% load stock reaches around 53°C overclocked I get around 63°C. (I made a thread in the CPU section about OCing and temps  :P)

53º under load isn't that bad. And 63º OC'ed either.

I thought it was bad considering the max safe temps according to AMD are 62°C? Also the max it reached after 15 mins of prime95 was 66°C but jumped back down to 62°C.

What CPU do you have?

I have an FX 8350 currently @4.6GHZ, still tweaking it at the minute, and it's idling at 40°C

Hmmm. FX 8350's max is ~60ºC, but AMD's temp sensors are known to be inaccurate, so they tend to add some extra degrees (5-7) when under load, however, less hot is better so if you have applied the thermal paste right, have good airflow in your case and don't have much dust in it then a second fan would be a good idea.

I actually bought some IC Diamond thermal paste and dusted and things, which brought the temps down by around 5-7°C. :P Also this is technically the third fan that will be attached to the cooler xD That's if I can find one with the mounting hardware >.>

I can attach one on the back so it pulls more air through :P

The temps will be either the same or 1-3C cooler. It's not worth the hassle. Try re installing the cooler, maybe you did something wrong.
