ive downloaded mumble and prolly a virus

2 days ago my cousin downloaded mumble off a non official mumble website and it contained "PC Fix Speed" i tried to go to uninstall a program but i cant find it i also deleted the mumble that he downloaded and i dont know what else to do.

My windows defender doesnt seem to be working also

Malware bytes is usually my first option in removing virus of any kind

He probably used one of those third party installer things and just spam slicked through all the option shit and had it download a bunch of other shit a long with mumble. If you want to trouble shoot what all he could have possibly installed go download what ever he downloaded again and go through the install process but don't actually install, just see what it asks you to install.

Run the most thorough Malwarebytes scan you can. If you can scan it or do it, check it so that it will do it. It will take a pretty long time though.

if i restore to an earlier point in time would it remove it? it was a time before mumble was install along with the virus

Did you look at uninstall programs in the control panel to see if that PC fix speed program was listed there?

Install Malwarebytes. I actually recommend you purchase it.
