What Cherry Mx brown keyboard should i get?

Go to solution Solved by GamerDude,

I would recommend a Ducky Shine DK9008S3 Cherry MX Brown for you, good sir. But bear in mind that while Browns are quieter than Blues, it repends on the typist, if you bottom out (that is, strike the key all the way down till it hits bottom) you will hear something like a 'clack'. I bottom out my keystrokes all the time regardless of the switch I use (I have Red, Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Clear, White as well as a buckling spring Model M, and some Topre keyboards too), I bottom out on all of 'em! ^_^

But, if silence, or at least quieter than Browns, is of paramount concern, then the one that's quieter out of the box is the Logitech G710+. True it has Browns like any other Cherry Brown keyboards, but Logitech has added o-rings to dampen the 'clack' when you bottom out so it would not be as loud. If quietness is what you're after, the G710+ fits the bill....

Sup everyone!

i am in dire need for a new Keyboard.

Cherry MX Brown to be exact but you can give suggestions for other type of cherry mx if you  think they are better.

im mostly looking for a quiet keyboard given the fact that i type hw in the night and my brother hates that lol.

In my defense Typing at night is very peaceful and i have little distractions.

If anyone can help that would Much Appreciated !!

My Budget is $100 to $150.

If you stick some o-rings on blacks then they will sound fairly quiet, but by nature, mechanical keyboards aren't quiet :P

Ducky keyboards are really nice.  A shine 3 or ducky zero could be good. What's your budget?

I recommend the Rosewill RK-9100BR. I've had mine for about a year now and I love it. It has MX browns, fully backlit with multiple brightness levels, and I think mine only cost about $85 when I got it. You might have to dig around a bit for it though because in their infinite wisdom, Rosewill only produced a small batch of them with browns.

Ducky with MX Browns is fantastic! Using a Shine 3 to write this and I can definitely recommend it.

+1 My Ducky has served me well, and I've never looked back after using it.

+1 on the G710+ as its a Cherry MX Brown keyboard that includes O-rings to help dampen some of the sound and their LGS software is easy to use imo.

I have the G710+, and it's very solid though not overly flashy. It doesn't have individual key backlights, or RGB backlights, or super special "gaming" layouts like F-keys positioned for easy "rolling" or an extra large spacebar for more comfortable hand positioning when using WASD... but with Brown keys and a normal layout it's great for typing as well as gaming.

I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, and I don't know if you can get a better value, but it's a very good keyboard in my experience.

You're gonna love the DS3, comes in all four main switch types as well as different color LEDs for the different switch types. I love my DS3's, I have a YOTS Edition MX Blue, the Yellow Edition with MX White and a vanilla DS3 with Cherry MX Green.....love 'em all! :D  You're gonna love all those fancy lighting effects, most DS3 owners like the Reactive lighting from what I've gathered. Me? I'm embarassed to say I use each board for a short while before moving on to another, but I can assured of Ducky's build quality which is up there with the best.

I'm now into smaller keyboards, just recently got myself a 75% KBT Race 2 and a 60% Pure Pro, with my two HHKB 2's and a Leopold FC660C making up the rest of my 60% board. So looking forward to the Ducky Mini which is expected out soon.....ish. The local distributor does not know the exact date but it's 'soon' as he'd said. Anyway, do post pics and impressions of the board when you get it, once you go mech, there's simply no turnin' back! :D
