Allow for forum notificaiton and email notification for automatically followed content

Is it possible to get email notifications AND forum/browser notifications for posts that I automatically follow when replying?

 

I like to receive a daily email with what's new but I would also like to know when someone replies to a post I've commented on via the forum so I don't have to re-check all the threads I've posted in when I'm actually active on the forum or wait for the next email update to see the replies.
