Competitive and cheap mice

Mugenjynn

I’ve only ever used one mouse and it’s this octane mouse that my friend gifted to me. Since I’m getting a whole new PC, I’m wondering if there are any mice that are around $40(preferably less) and are nice and light. I don’t need any buttons on the side, I don’t need any rgb lights, I just want a comfortable mouse that can withstand competitive gaming.

it's not a heavy mouse btw, if you don't like light mouses, it's not for you.

It's not very easy to find used rival 310. But on ebay there are few 310 for ~ 40, shipping excluded.

The G102/203 and G403 are good. The 102/203 is lighter and smaller than the 403. They all use very good sensors.

If you have any good tech stores in your city then the best choice to go take a look at those mices, hyperx might feel better for you, I like steelseries feel and weight, but you might have different preferences. Logitech mice seon123 mentioned are good too, it's very personal thing, so take a look at those mices upclose if you have that possibility.

Could you explain to me the differences, I’m gonna be doing a lot of aiming(I mean competitive aiming) with these mice if that information helps.

Well, i like lighter weighing mouses, those which glide easier, that's, ( at least for me) is useful for quick reacting in games , but you might like something more substantial and heavier, some people like that too.It depends on your play style.

I got my Logitech G403 for 40 USD refurbished on Amazon. It's a really nice mouse, I like it a lot.

I would consider buying used too, if I found a good deal and shipping would not be too pricey. BTW logitech g102 is even lighter, 83 grams, rival 100 is 92  grams, hyperx  is 93 I believe.

I think my preferences similar to yours, I’ll be going with your suggestion. Thanks. If it’s a trash mouse I’m suing you and putting your whole family into debt that they will have to work off by becoming slaves. Not only that but I’ll be making you my personal gladiator.

Where are you located?  If you haven't already done so, try going into a store with a display and put your hands on some mice to get a feel for what you like.  You can also visit a local gaming convention as well.  What might feel comfortable for any of us might not be the same for you.  For your budget, you could look into the Corsair Harpoon, or if you can find a deal on Corsair Glaive.  Both mice have side buttons, but you can disable them with iCUE if you don't plan on using them.  Let me know if you have any questions.
