I already have a DSLR and it's great for pictures and stuff but it's really heavy.

If you haven't already and you want to do photragraphy, get a DSLR for that price, like a cannon Reble T3i and get  a few nice lenses with the left over money.

 

Nevermind, if  you want something light and takes great pictures that is a very, very nice camera.

Actually that is a very nice camera, I might put that into consideration for my self since my Canon Rebel T1i is getting a little outdated.

Yeah. I have a Samsung NX11 and I'm getting rid of it for a Sony RX100m2. Which is saying a lot, because I'm really not a fan of Sony.

If you want to save a fair bit of coin, you could go with the RX100. Not sure if you'd find the foldable LCD and hot shoe a plus or not. Other than that they're really quite comparable.

 

As for is it good, every review I've seen on it has had nothing but good things to say, and all the reviewers were pretty much foaming at the mouth for it.

it is the best point and shoot you can get. has great features, that 10 fps burst is amazing for example.
