You can vertically mount it, it won't matter too much.

When using the built in one, Yes. 110%

 

Native vertical GPU mounts using air cooled cards will almost always put the card WAY too close to the glass, causing the fans not to be able to breathe, meaning higher temps, leading to thermal throttling, ergo loss in FPS.

 

 

The recommendation is to use an aftermarket solution like one from @CableMod, CoolerMaster or @Mnpctech which position the gpu properly

@Mugenjynn depends on your approach. Check out the CableMod vertical bracket, you'll see almost no change in thermals.
