Has anyone else reached peak stress where they're just ok with it?

GenialGiraffe

There's a lot of things going on in the world as well as my life where it's not ok, but I've reached an equilibrium on my anxiety. You feel me?

I would imagine it's a good thing. I always see my problems abstractly and don't really get stressed much. You just need to get down and do something about it rather than sit and let yourself worry. If you can't do anything then you're only harming yourself by worrying and there's no point in doing so

That's an F in the profile pic

Whenever I get to that point I just reach a new level of stress, where I am not stressful at all and this starts playing in my head:

Yeah, the world is a whole bunch of ... Not good stuff..

Furthermore I have had some.. Issues relating to employment (contract negotiation shit), but thankfully I got some time off school (gotta learn for exams though). Life is kinda stressful at the moment.. But as I said, I'm gonna spinning seal my way through it all!

Just think about this; if whatever you're worrying about is not gonna be important in 5 years: don't worry more then 5 minutes about it!

I have twins and work in InfoSec. So I have seen my days of stress, but I have also learned that worrying about tomorrow doesn't fix anything so I take it one day at a time. If you are overwhelmed and have a ton to do and are stressing about it... then mentally break it up in to smaller pieces and focus on completing the pieces. Makes it easier to manage and gives you positive to focus on as you are constantly completing things and chipping away at the bigger problem.

It is all about how you look at things and what you choose to focus on. You can stress out or you can change your perspective in to something manageable and work on fixing the problem. So remember stress is normal and everyone will feel it time to time, but don't let it consume you as stress is really hard on your heart.

You're absolutely right! My therapist said something along the lines that I should maintain achievable goals rather than one single massive undertaking. (Sidenote I think a lot of people could benefit from going to a therapist at least once and I'd wholeheartedly recommend the experience)

You have to have the attitude of, who gives a fuck, its very helpful. Also don't watch the news.

Only care about the ones you love and care about.

Do not be a door mat either, have a spine, stand up for yourself and others. If you see a bum being treated badly, have courage and step in. You have to pick your battles.

You can only really worry about yourself. The world will sort itself out. Once you sort yourself out, then you can worry about the helping the world on it's quest.

There's loads to stress over, but when it comes down to it, none of it really needs to be stressed over.

Stress is dangerous. Manage it.

That is when I work my best.  I found with work that as stress piles up I eventually get to a point where I'm just numb to it.  It's when I'm most efficient.

probably super unhealthy but whatever
