Seeing how I paid what $1300 for the 35u Dell when it was first released...honestly not a bad price.

I want one

Or you could just buy an objectively superior 5k display. This isn't "wide", it's "short".

@GoodBytes yeah... pretty ridiculous

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Not really.

1080p vertical is just not enough for power users.

Splitting windows to 4 parts is useless at 3840p because that is not enough width for 4 windows so you have to stick with 3 otherwise websites will load in their mobile form or you will have to scroll sideways in many cases.

3 windows side by side should work really well at least but you will be still missing on the vertical res.

But that aside, splitting/managing windows to anything more than half/half ratio is cumbersome.

Really, 2x 1440p 16:9 is way cheaper and gives you significantly more screen real estate and is more manageable.

This monitor is just for a certain niche uses. I don't find it much appealing.

I mean, I know it's for more niche use, same I don't find this aspect ratio appealing either. For like 2160p vertical you could do 4x windows, it all depends what it is and does it seem good to user. 1080p would be terrible and 1440p can use it in a way that it's not always maximized everything, or like editing and having some other window you use regularly on side, etc.

I'd use 2x 1440p monitors as well rather then this. I'm not even a fan o ultrawides too.

Dell suggest the following setup based on their press event product showcase:

For when you need to catch up with four shows at the same time while editing your videos while managing your spreadsheets. Seriously though, that's a little bit silly :P just a little.

Is that 21:9? If so that would be a nice one too. My idea setup is 2 high res 21:9 monitors stacked vertically.

Yeah it's 21:9: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34WK95U-W-ultrawide-monitor

This guy does have a 1440p vertical, so technically you'd have the same amount of screen estate, just without borders. Though I can see cases where 2 regular 1440p monitors would be preferrable.

Clearly, it is not wide enough or tall enough.

See I told you.  64:9 hyperwide is the future
