It is a Tier 1 psu, and it's a good deal if the only issue is the damaged plastic. I would just bring a set up to test it out, and research how to evaluate a used psu to see if its good or not

Yeah that's actually a pretty good deal, if you could I would test it with his or your system in it. Just plug in basic stuff like the motherboard, CPU, and GPU connectors and see if it boots.

Personally, I would almost never buy a used PSU. But that's a pretty good deal, as long as the unit's in good condition, I don't see a problem with it.

a) you loose quite a bit of Warranty with used purchases. This EVGA is not that bad as you probably might get 3 Years (since Original Purchase IIRC).

But with other Manufacturers, you mostly get nothing

b) do you need 1000W? Why this PSU?

c) because of the high wattage, expect it to be really loud.

And when I say loud, I mean loud!

When its something like that, its not pleasant once the fan starts:

The T2 actually runs passive for quite a lot of the load range. Unlike every other EVGA branded PSU, the semi passive mode actually works.
