I need help with my friends PC please.

Krotis

Why will my friends PC boot up and then turn off and then once we took out the ram it didn't do it but it made 4 long beeps 1 short beep so then we thought it was a ram issue so I looked at the manual and we only have 1 stick of ram and we think its because the motherboard only supports dual channel ram so any one who can help please help and here are the parts in my friends build.

We tried both slots we tried to update the bios but we couldn't because the PC wont even turn on without turning off immediately.

It only supports the g4560 after bios revision f20. If your board shipped with an earlier revision you need a 6th gen cpu to flash the new bios before you can use that cpu.

We tried updating the bios but it wont launch so were going to buy a new motherboard so that we don't have to buy a expensive 6th gen CPU just to update the bios so were planning on getting a 60 dollar motherboard that we don't need a bios update with.
