5tb hard-drive not seen

Hello I need help with my new build, i built a pc and after installing windows on 250gb samsung 970 nvme I installed my hard-drive after (safely of course) and I cant see the harddrive as anything. I have an optane memory nvme that i was planning to use to speed up the hard-drive but the optane memory is unallocated and the 5tb hard-drive doesn't seem to even be sensed by the hard-drive. I need some help please I have the optane in the topmost slot and the 970 in the slot under it.

did you go to diskmgmt.msc to format the drive first?

A new disk needs to be initialized before the OS can see it. Go to diskmgmt.msc and initialize the disk, then format it as NTFS and make sure it has a drive letter.

If it's not in disk management either, then it's not connected properly or defective. Some SATA ports may become disabled when using m.2 drives, so check your manual to see if that's the problem here.
