Usage of laptop while charging.?

I'm using an Asus fx504gm laptop. As its "gaming" it's battery doesn't last much.. So can I use laptop while charging for gaming browsing etc? Without damaging it in long run.?

Yeah it will be fine, it will just charge the battery slower.

The heat generated by the laptop and battery will shorten the life of the battery, but it shouldn't be much different from normal since it'll likely run hot regardless, gaming laptop.

Welcome to the LTT forums! Doing so will heat the battery up (if it truly is charging, and not fully charged) thereby accelerating the degradation of the anode and the cathode, and shorten the life of the battery, also the increased heat may cause the laptop to thermal throttle, another potential issue is if you are moving the laptop, you may damage the charging port on your laptop. Otherwise it's a gaming laptop, that is how it is meant to be used, as a portable desktop.
