PCIE slot in your computer. Kinda like where the GPU goes but instead its just a card with wifi built in.

I was wondering where is a Wi-Fi adapter connected to? (not the USB type)

 

Is it in a PCIe 2.0 port?  or where?

Sorry for bothering you, I was wondering, does it matter if said adapter goes into PCIe 1.0 instead of 2.0?
