Who's On Thread?

I've been kinda away lately so I'm not aware, but it seems we had a major website update recently?

 

I have spotted two issues with the Forum that are quite recent, one was discussed here:

About wrong page scaling.

 

The second issue I want to bring in this specific thread is that I seem to no longer be able to see who's currently on a specific thread at the bottom of the page. Before if you went to the bottom of the page of a thread you could see who's currently at it by their user profiles.

 

This is no longer available to me in any browser I tried, logged in or not, feels like this whole section was taken out which was always a feature I enjoyed.

I don't know where is the source for what linked above, but it seems it's temporary due to performance issues...? Doesn't seem like the web development team did a good job on this whatever last big update they did.

 

The past few days the website as been more unresponsive and glitchy along side these issues pointed out than I remember ever being.

Also I had to use uBlock Origin to get rid of that annoying and ugly red ball at the right bottom and the new emojis compared to the old ones are so cancerous I refuse using them now.

I can't see the 'currently viewing thread' box either. I assumed sign on anon would not make your name appear in that box...but the feature itself would still show on all threads.

That feature has been disabled until further notice (possibly indefinitely) because it was giving incorrect results and wasn't playing at all nicely with some other performance optimisations that had been made, resulting in a very significant (over 100% in some cases) impact to page loads.
