Loudest keyboard you know of?

Radium_Angel

I want to play a gag on my co-workers, we are getting new keyboard at work, these *supposedly* ultra quiet ones, and I want to change mine out with something super noisy.

Know of anything really loud?

You can't go wrong with Buckling Springs keyboard but they are hard to get unless you want to pay more than $200 from unicomp.

Trust me its really loud.

The sounds of the thumping keycaps and the clanking of the springs made it the best symphony of destruction for your co-workers ears.

Behold the power of Chuck Norris the forbidden one.

Something wrong with the microphone. Because it sounds like freakin MG42

Here's the other sounds example.

While they're not as loud as some of the older keyboards, the Box Thick Clicks are significantly louder than the switches using a click jacket (think Cherry Blue/Green, Gateron Blue/Green, Kailh Blue/Green etc). The Box Whites are also louder than the ones using a click jacket, but not as loud as the Thick Clicks.

Not sure how well you can hear it, but here's a Gateron Green, a Box White and a Box Jade. They switches should be louder once inside a keyboard.

It's easy and relatively cheap to get a keyboard with the Box Whites. There's one on Banggood, albeit a 60% one.

https://m.banggood.com/Motospeed-CK61-Kailh-BOX-Switch-Bluetooth-Type-C-61-Key-NKRO-RGB-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-p-1298127.html?rmmds=search

If you want to solder yourself, you can get 10x switches for ~$3-$3,40.

Just get a program that allows you to trigger sounds with a key press and assign the sound to all keys and turn up the speaker volume

Might as well just get a typewriter LMAO. You can probably get one at your local antique store and you'll be able to hear it from the lobby. I don't know why but I'm laughing so hard at the image of someone carrying a typewriter into work. You can get Cherrry MX blues or Greens, and just push really hard and bottom out every key stroke.
