budget cooling a 8086k

My budget for a cooler is 40$ CAD before tax, right now I have the CRYORIG H7 on my part list, but I was wondering if there are higher tier coolers out there within my budget that can adequately cool the cpu.

 

I'm a filthy casual who's not aiming to overclock, but im (probably) getting a Z370 board anyways (Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 5 with WIFI). My graphics card is (hopefully) an XFX RX 580 8gb if that affects anything.

the case has 2 included fans, but idk if thats enough? do i need to buy another fan for the back of the case too? (first time builder)

If you aren't OCing an H7 is perfectly fine. Gamaxx 400 might be a bit better for a similar price but I think it's a big uglier.

If you aren't overclocking and don't plan to overclock, the Cryorig H7 should handle the CPU through most of its boost range. If you want more consistent sustained boost speeds I would consider moving up to an NH-D14 or D15 depending on case, airflow, and ambient temps.

 

If you go with the case you linked, buying another fan for exhaust is highly recommended to get that hot air out of your case.

thanks man! and yep it was, not in a rush to build and would rather try to save money on parts at the moment. 

 

just looked that one up, it looks like a tall boye. appearance isnt too much of a factor. i'll consider it! thanks :)

Nah not really. Just avoid fans with sleeve bearings (cheap fans usually have them).

 

Look for fluid dynamic bearing or maglev fans ideally.
