Could my phone be overheating

I have a galaxy A53 and it crashes frequently. I notice when I boot up the phone, open Spotify and play a song, my phone gets about as hot as if I were gaming on it. It used to not do this when I got it. If it is overheating, would it help to take it apart and replace the thermal paste/pad on the CPU? If it helps, I bought it refurbished.

probably on the way out,  my A41 while a bit sluggish stays cold to the touch at all times (except while charging sometimes)

If it’s overheating and crashing, then it’s probably just too slow. The thermal pad probably isn’t the problem if you’re feeling the heat on the phone itself. I would try to exit apps that might be sucking resources in the background. Besides that, it sounds like that phone is pretty old; it might be time to upgrade.

Hope this helps 🙂
