Looking For A New Game - Help Please

Hi Guys n Girls,

I need help. I'm looking for a new game to get into, but i'm really picky. So il break this down..

Games i've played a lot of: (In order of most played - Top = Most):

- World of Warcraft (Horde - Hunter - Over 400 days played since launch. Raid Leader, Class Leader, Guild Master).

- Battlefield 1 (I'm the one who sits in a tank with a high k/dr).

- Anno 1404: Venice (It's good to build up, but not to start all over again).

- Cities: Skylines.

- GTAV.

- Sim City 4k.

- Angry Birds - Play this a lot recently, slowly losing the will to live lol.

- Burnout Paradise

- The Turing Test. Completed it. But not sure it's my thing.

What i'm currently looking for in a game: (Top being more important):

- Something where I can build on. Where I can log on, contribute towards my character / profile. (e.g. Used to spend several hours a day mining in Warcraft).

- Decent / Modern Graphics. (I love old games like Zool, Cannon Fodder, C&C etc, but now into shiny new games).

- HUGE maps. I love games that have large maps.

- Strategy games.

- Futuristic is nice, but not a must.

- Using the ASDW keys or just the mouse if i get bored.

- Not bothered about story lines.

- I like games with decent A.i, but not when it's brutal.

Games i'm considering playing:

EvE Online - Played a little before but it seemed like a big learning curve.

Star Citizen - Have the impression that SC is a 'pay to play' game. And that there isn't enough content to keep me occupied (?).

Games that I don't want to play:

- Dota. Don't really think i'd get into it.

- ARK. Brother plays this, it's ok, but not for me.

- I have the following games, i've played them, but not loads. Skyrim, The Witcher: WH, Euro Truck Simulator, No Man's Sky and Deus Ex HR.

I'm on both Steam and Origin Premium

Side note of things i'm into at the moment:

- Watching LMG videos. Not just saying that cause i'm on the LTT forum. I'm realy enjoying them at the mo. (Dennis cracks me up lol).

- Watching Strange Parts on YT. Love to watch Scotty talking about electronics, factory tours etc.

- Electronics. Learning how to repair tablets / mobiles.

- I also love to watch Joe Robinet episodes on YT. (Bushcrafter / Camping etc).

- I love to fly my drone (Mavic Pro).

- I do have a fair amount of spare time.

I have a decent enough PC (spec is on my profile) and i'm looking into building a new rig. So spec isn't any issue.

Suppose I could have just asked if anyone knows a good strat game? but wheres the fun in that, and, it took me away from f*ckin Angry Birds! lol :)

Thanks,

Dragonfyr

Edit: Off to sleep now so il check this later.

Is there a premium Origin? lmao those EA joke pics were right

you'll need a lot of money to get into EVE, it's kinda boring tho, just gathering in-game resources and getting invaded by rich players all the time, if you lose your ship the game is over and you lose all of the money you put into it forever, no refunds. and you're right, star citizen is the buff version of EVE. you'll need this keyboard for both

20160329084428.gif

the talos principle but it's kinda like turing test, you know, puzzles and stuff, also like portal

no man's sky is OK once you build a base, it's easy when you just begin, your home planet is usually one with a ton of resources and little danger

fallout 4, but here's the trick: mods, you'll need a lot of mods if you want the game to be a challenge

there are mods for it that make the enviroment deadlier and add extra weathers to make the game feel more like a real wasteland with radiation and more enemies to fight, you can't go out without a gas mask and filters and need to carefully plan raids or quests, some mods allow you to change the damage multipliers to make your weapons better or worse, you can mod the enemies health so they stop dying with a pistol shot to the leg (for real...) there are mods that finish the building system by making it more relevant and not just point and click

damn there's even a mod that dinamically modifies your weight depending on what or how much you eat or work out, if you lift weights you'll become stronger so you'll do more damage with melee weaponry, but if you use the pommel horse you'll gain agility and improve your stealth, be faster than enemies etc, that's cool at least for me

the DLCs add a fair amount of content

The Witcher 3.

Ghost of a tale is something I urge you to try as its fits a lot of descriptions but isn’t an action game.

The stalker series has a lot to do, open world and you can build your characters gear for a long time.

The fallout games might do you well. Fallout 4 is super Grindy so that might be your cup of tea if you want to shoot stuff & level up. The earlier fallouts do have you build your character but are more choice driven rpg.

Warframe has a lot of leveling up to do & action

blood bowl is a fantasy take on American football where you build up your team.

State of decay has you several characters that can level up, you can improve your base & more. Level up several characters or if your main dies, you’ll be kinda screwed.

Edit:

dawn of war dark crusade let’s you level up your commander but

Dawn of War 2 is really about leveling up your guys.

Mad max has you upgrade your car and character,

shadow of Mordor and shadow of war have a lot of combat, open world and leveling up

GTAV and GTAV online might be good chiices

traditional rpg like final fantasy, torchlight, wasteland, and more have a lot to offer in your requests

Splinter cell blacklist isn’t strictly open world but there’s a lot of stuff to unlock.

I doubt call of duty and titanfall are things you’d say yes to. You can unlock guns and whatnot in multiplayer but I don’t think it’s what you’re looking for.

Dying light has some RPG elements. Open world and more

borderlands matches most of your requests

eye divine cybermancy

I have a lot more suggestions but I feel like I have you some of the best.

Vampyr answers most of your requests. It has a bit of clunky fighting but it's with strong RPG aspects.

If you like exploration and puzzle. The last Tomb Raider in the series -- Shadow of the Tomb Raider -- is awesome, it's the best so far.

Have a look in YouTube and see if the walkthroughs are your style

I've been putting time into Yakuza 0. Full of goofy bullshit and mostly decent fighting mechanics as a sort of beat em up game. Lots of sidequests and upgrades, and a bunch of minigames including pool, darts, batting cages, bowling, claw machines, SEGA arcades housing 80's classics (Since it's set in the 80's) shogi, mahjong, telephone clubs and... porn shops?

It's kind of a weird game...
