Posted September 14, 2018 I've been looking into buying a mechanical keyboard for a while now and think I would like MX Blues the best because I like the clicky sounds and care more about typing because I'm not really a competitive gamer. The only potential issue I can see is the level of noise of the keys, as I live in a house in close proximity to other people and don't want them wanting to kill me every time I go to type something. I'm currently using an old Logitech G15 keyboard (I think second gen, whichever one has the orange LCD screen) and am a fairly heavy typer to begin with if that is any comparison for noise levels, and am thinking about getting the Corsair K70 LUX keyboard. Also, if anyone knows a store where I could go to try typing on a mechanical keyboard in the Phoenix (AZ) area please let me know. Thank you for any help you can offer! Edit: Also, has anyone used the K70 with OSX (*cough* hackintosh *cough*)? I would assume they'd be compatible but I just wanted to check. Posted September 14, 2018 Blue switches are pretty loud, they do sound decent and have decent keyfeel but if you type decently fast then you are in for a lot of sound I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays... nothing, it just sits there collecting dust... The Browns don't really make much of a clicky sound, though it will make a sound if you bottom it out. And it's much less tactile. Posted September 14, 2018 Author Okay, I might want to consider the browns then because based on my use of my g15 I will probably be bottoming out the keys (it also helps that the brown version is on sale on amazon right now).
