Recommendations for a decent mic

Hey folks. 

 

I'm looking for a decent mic to be used for recording audiobooks and maybe some vocal music. 

 

Cost needs to be kept very reasonable. I'm not an audiophile and don't need the most high-end mic on the market, but I would like something that will record in good quality with minimal static/background noise. If it's possible to find something between $50 to $100 CAD, that would be fantastic.

I know it kinda gets some flack for the shape, but the Blue snowball is actually pretty good for low background noise if you set it up right

I've recommended it to a friend for Twitch streaming and it works pretty well

Blue snowball has served me well, the blue yeti is a tried and tested mic if you want to splash out a few extra $$$
