if this works depends on your powersupply.

the fact that it only has one 8pin to begin with tells us it cant be a very power full one.

 

the 1080ti has short peaks of almost 300W power draw which means the 12V rail of your Powersupply needs to be able to handle 25A for this to work stable.

that would work, i wouldnt recomend it as the PSU might not be able to put out enough power or the cable could overheat. dont you have any 6+2 pin cables?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

the problem is that I dont think he can distinguish between the EPS 8pin and PCIe 8pin. They are different.

i bought hx1200 and it came with 4 8 pin pci e to 2x8 pin pci e only

The HX1200 comes with 8x 6+2 pcie cables. They should be labelled.

Are you referring to the end that plugs into the psu or are you referring to an adapter that isn't one of the modular cables?
