On to my next adventure, RAID0?

Lumikor

So I have two SSDs in my system, both 250gb one is Samsung Evo 950 and the other ADATA SU800 and I think I want to squeeze out some extra performance of my machine and run in RAID0. But, I can only do it via the bios (Asrock Z370M-ITX/ac) and I work with mackintosh.

From what I read so far online, bios level RAID is crap and should never be used. But I couldn't find any reason why beside that statement and because I run small form factor, I can't even fit another cable inside the case, not talking about raid controller.

Also, I know RAID 0 is dangerous, but I have all my data daily backed up to NAS and remote location so it's not big deal. What I fear is

1. How to handle BIOS upgrades if any in the future?

2. Does RAID0 can really work much faster?

3. Is bios level raid really bad? and why?

4. ALL HAIL DENNIS!

Thank You.

As long as you have a backup and have intel RST installed

I don't work with Windows, what that program does and why I need it?
