Best OS for me is, well depends on what I want to accomplish.

No sense in running Linux if I want to play the latest cool games,

No sense in running Windows if I want a computer that shares files efficiently and for a low low price (aka free), Linux does though.

No sense in running Mac OS if all the apps I need to get the job done only run in Windows.

Picking an OS before knowing what you need to get done is like buying a compact car then wanting to run a moving company with it.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I liked Vista [one year after release] a lot it was my first real OS after some years with XP.

For some months I used Linux Mint. Now I am stuck with Win7.

Windows 8 is not crap on a desktop. You just have to do a little bit of work to get rid of it's annoying features. After that, it's just windows 7, but better.

If only I could like this 30 times...

Win 7 64bit for gaming, only because MS's direct X monopoly forces us to use it.

Dual boot Hackintosh Mac OS Mavericks for everything else.

Would drop Windows 7 in a second if opengl or low level api became the new standard and would run a linux partition for gaming.

Windows 8 with boot to desktop and disable bloatware slowing down start up in task manager. You know the stuff you want to keep but don't need to start up everytime.
