970 Evo thermals in laptop

Ryujin2003

I have a gaming laptop that needs a storage update for school. 250gb isn't enough storage on my SSD. I want to replace it with 500gb m.2 NVMe. I have a 960 in my desktop and I really like it.

Samsung 960 and 970 500GB are nearly equivalently priced currently on Amazon. 168.99 or the 960 and 179 for the 970.

I've seen online videos with issues about the 970 thermal throttling. Is this going to be in an MSI Stealth laptop. I'm assuming thermal throttling in the laptop will be worse?

I'm not too concerned about a 10 dollar difference. I guess I can always get the 970, put it in my desktop, clone my 500GB 960, then put that 960 into my laptop. But I've heard that thing gets hot in laptops as well. Does anyone have first hand experience with these drives in laptops?
