connecting windows 10 to a router.

our modems dead but my pc can read the connection (from the fiber to copper box) without it. however the router cant, any way I could connect the router to the pc so everyone can get a connection?

if the pc can work without the modem, then the router should be able to as well....I think... im not a network guru but that doesn't make much sense to me. did you use the right port on your router?

also the "box" is in a concreate walled furnace room so even if I could there would be no point

I did it just had to share to connection in connecter properties... I feel dumb now
