i've been thinking about whether to get a ssd or More ram, in the end i am gonna get both but any suggestions on what i should get first?

General System info (RAM, CPU, GPU, Storage, Cooler, etc.) would help us make a better recommendation.

Get the SSD for now you will see more performance benefit from the faster storage than you will with more RAM

This particular computer is a laptop, right?  yeah i would go with upgrading to SSD.  

Last week I upgraded my 7 year old laptop from hdd (5400rpm) to SSD.  It's like a new laptop!  I don't game on it... just browsing, netflix, backup computer.  I can keep it for many more.  good luck
