So im planning on getting a build, im a newbie but a really passionate pc loving newbie, first time building, first time planning. I planned out the build for a year now. Ive got everything ready, to go out and buy it. Now. Ive got some concerns about the monitor. Since this pc is really high end, and mostly for gaming on 4K. It has a GTX 1080 Ti/GTX 11/2080 (ill wait for the new card but im guessing its the same performance) and im getting a 1440p 120hz or more monitor. The card pushes out more then 70fps on max settings 1440p so people tell me, that i dont need g sync because its not visable at that framerate. You thoughts? Also rate the build, why not? You can give me some critics of your own. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/YourNewPalAlex/saved/G3r6sY

PS i didnt put an ssd because i have one laying around from my laptop.

Bad motherboard.

Bad case.

No dual channel ram. (Add another identical stick.)

Get a 1070Ti, overclock it and pair it with a 2700X.

SSD is a must.

Uve got a better budget mobo that overclocks and is under 70$?

I know its a shit case, i got it because it has all the case fans populated by stock fans so I don't spend more $

Cant do that because i think the mobo is max 2 sticks, so ill save up and when prices fall ill get the same ram so i get dual channel 16GBs.

Why a 2700X when its the same with a cheap 1700 and it doesnt effect any performance for 4K? Neither does it effect 1440p.

Thoughts about the g sync thing?

CPUs bottleneck refresh rate not resolution. A 2700/X is something like 5-10% faster depending on OCs, likely worth it when you consider how long you'll have the PC. an i7 8700 would be something like 15fps faster for 144hz, not worth it over the R5 2600 though for the same core count.

I don't think it's worth getting a cheap everything else just to get a 1080ti, especially with new GPUs being announced on the 20th most likely.

Should just live with a $449 GTX 1080, it'll be fine for 1440p 144hz gaming.

Wouldn't waste money on G-sync.

Fractal Focus G is a cheap decent case as well

Here an r5 2600 is benchmarked at 1440p without oc-ing

And an r7 2700 is displayed. Also stock. The difference is 5-10fps. When you overclock the r5 1600, you will probably get the same performance as the r7 2700.

I dont think im cheaping out on everything, trust me id put a pentium there if you said go cheap out on everything.

I am waiting for the new cards. I will either get the 1180 or the 1080 ti, depenting on whats cheaper.

The monitor you provided doesnt have g sync, but is more expensive then 165hz g sync 1440p monitor by dell?

Id honestly get a deepcool dukase whv2 which is cheaper and looks better imho.

Now for the build.

Why a 2700? When the 1700 is basically the same but leages cheaper

Why an x470 mobo when you can get a B450/B350 and overclock the same, function the same. I dont get it?

For ram well, for gaming 8GB is enough lets be honest. Id honestly buy 8GBs at the begging then id buy another stick when prices drop.

Well about the gpu, you can get a gtx 1070 ti, overclock it and get a gtx 1080 for a lower price. But you can oc the 1080 aswell. So yeah. Id have the 1070 ti if it was alot cheaper, if its 50$ then 1080 it is.

The case maaan, why is it so expensive? I understand a p300 or an s340 those are awesome cases. For somewhat cheap. But this? I dont agree on you man, it has to boost performance by 20% so i buy it xD

Cant say anythin about the psu

The monitor.... Dude why this one? You can have a cheaper g sync one that's 165 hz and 1440p? I dont get it....if you think g sync isnt worth it then go with a cheaper monitor that doesnt have g sync...the most complained about thing is that its expensive, and you just gave me something that is more expensive and it doesnt even have it... I dont get it.

Does it have to be ips? I thought TN panels were just not colorful, but fast and good for gaming. Also cheap. I know if you look at them at an angle they are bad but if your straight on i dont think you notice the difference.

TN is always trash, why live with it when there's a better option at around the same price?

600-370=230

230$ is 38.3.333% of 600$

That is not "around the same price"

This might seem rude but it really isnt..
