2nd hand mining gigabyte gtx 970 gaming $180

Galion

As long as it's been taken care of thermally(not running at dangerous temperatures for its whole life), it should be good.

See if you can get it for closer to $150 though, 175+ is 980 territory as far as pricing goes.

There shouldn't be a bottleneck with a Ryzen 2200G.

Where are you located? 180 seems like way too much for 970, unless you are in Australia.

As Crunchy said, as long as it works properly, it will not bottleneck 2200G, as it is almost equal in performance to 1060 3GB

He says that there are others in line for the card, $180 is the cheapest I'll find on Craigslist

Since you mentioned Craiglist, I assume you are in the US? If that's the case, tell him to stick it where sun doesn't shine. You can get 1060 3GB for lower price.

Wouldn't pay more than $140 for 970, especially the one used for mining

Go for it then. Even though it's a little expensive for a mining 970, it's a better deal than just about any Pascal card in terms of performance per dollar.
