Transferring windows 10 from old to new pc

Go to solution Solved by Arika,

technically yes, but it's not recommended.

you can use sysprep to get it ready for new hardware.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/sysprep--generalize--a-windows-installation

though not on a USB. you will need to use the same drive that is in your current computer and move it to your new one

Am I able to transfer windows 10 from an old pre-built computer on a USB drive to a new custom built computer, how would one go about doing such stuff! please link any helpful sites or videos, thanks!

You may do that like I do yesterday - move your HDD/SSD to new computer, plug and boot. :)

I assume that you want to transfer (remove from old computer, plug into new computer).

If you want to make a copy - Macrium Reflect is for that, but still you'll need new Windows license. How to make good copy I wrote in some other post.
