Motherboard stopped supporting system ram

I have run 16gb of ddr3 4x4gb at 1600mhz for a few years on my computer, and one day the motherboard simple stopped supporting 16bg of ram and the 1600mhz speed. I have tried only one stick in each slot with every single ram stick and every slot and stick works when only one or two sticks are inserted in the mobo but not with all four in at the same time. I have also tired a other ram kit but same problem. One thing is interesting is that specy does detect my whole ram but not the bios.

My specs are:

  • Intel core i7 2600 (non x)
  • Asus sabretooth p67 (latest bios)
  •  crucial ballistix sport 4x4gb
  • 2x120 SSD now
  •  segate ST2000DX001
  • r9 290 (non x)
  • Windows 10 Pro New install

Could be defective RAM slots. The stuff is 6-7 years old at this point, after all. Especially since it happened all of a sudden. You might have to trade the kit for a 2x8 or switch motherboards.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Should be good, yes. You don't need a Z or P board since you don't have a K processor, so a B75 board could also be an option. Should be cheaper.
