Youtube not showing resolution options

I was watching this video on youtube

As you can see this video was filmed in 12K and I know for a fact was uploaded in 4K, however my monitor is 1440p but when I go to the resolution setting on the youtube player, it only allows me to select up to 1080p.

Why is this? How can I make it so that I can select 4K even though my monitor isn't?

I have been able to do this in the past and I don't know why it is different now.

I actually don't mind edge that much I just cant stand the design and the lack of features that other browsers have.

The feature to set tabs aside is actually really awesome!
