Tough.

From what I can see these are the Biggest Differences:

D3200: 24.2 MP Sensor, but only 12 bit RAW

D5100: 16.2 MP Sensor, but has 14 bit RAW

I have personal experience with my Canon T3i and my friend's has a D5100, but I have never used a D3200.  Maybe just take some pics, and compare them to see which one performs better.

Okay *Throws away D4*

They are pretty even, most of it will come down to user preference, the most obvious thing is the resolution, but its not as a big of a concern as you might think.

I believe they have the same focusing system, along with pretty much everything else. So I think it boils down to higher res vs articulated screen.

Both are good and will take great photos, if it were me I would sell the one you will get the most for and put it towards a lens.

Also wrong section :P

D5100 is better and somewhat higher end. Flippy screen is cool too. You don't need that many megapixels, my 70d has 20 doesn't mean its less sharp than a D3200 :P
