Dual Band WiFi card topped showing 5Ghz networks on my list

I have an Asus PCE-N53 11n dual band Wireless PCI-E card, it's been working perfectly until a week ago. I don't know how an electric shock could've hurt it since I have my entire setup conected to a voltage regulator.

I already searched for drive updates with the windows tool but nothing showed up, and also disabling and re-enabling the controller didn't work.

 

Anything helps.

Have you tried re-installing the drivers?

I uninstalled the driver, then followed by looking for hardware changes and that reenabled the driver. But still can't find 5Ghz networks

Hmm, I don't have any other suggestions then sorry :(

 

I had a similar issue with an ASUS usb wifi adaptor before, never did get it sorted... I ended up just buying another IIRC, either that or just cabled it instead, was a LONG time ago now.

Its ok, It's just a matter of time before I get an ethernet cable into my room and that I dont need to buy a 10m one to run it from my living room
