Chrome fonts being stupid on two new installs...

Title kinda says it all, but Chrome is being downright retarded on two new Windows installs on two separate PCs (one on Windows 7 Pro and the other on 8.1 Pro). I genuinely don't know what the deal is since all the default fonts are normal inside of Chrome too... And it happens on random websites, too.

Also have you toyed around in the settings for the font size and other options?

I've dicked around in the font settings to no avail, sadly. As a stop-gap fix I deleted Helvetica Neue (deleting it in inspect element proved that it was the offending font), but it's not really an ideal solution since I tend to use it fairly often.

 

And yes, I know I had a boatload of notifs but I hadn't had a working PC in 5 days because Windows sucks.

You're not running any extensions that could be messing with font? Perhaps one of the extensions is compatible with one type of Windows and not the other.

 

I'm guessing you've already uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome on the problem machine?
